Now, Vlad's First Fang is my very first published book, and what I love the most about this story is how it sheds light on the wish-fulfillment behind losing teeth! By telling this story through an adorable little monster, my goal was to make what can be a scary growing-up experience something that kids can look forward to.

I'm Mykayla Fontaine This is my very first published book, and I'm so excited that you came here to visit me and my story!
I'm a college student at Texas Tech University, and I love reading and writing. In fact, I love it so much that it's what I'm going to school for. In my lifetime, if I can inspire even one person to love reading as much as I do with my stories, it will mean the world to me.
When Nora (my wonderful illustrator) told me she needed to illustrate a short story for her class, she asked me to write something for her and I wrote the story that would become Vlad's First Fang. We never expected people to like Vlad so much, but they did, and so we made him a whole book!
